Direct Sales
Do you want to start your own home business, but don’t know where to start? Do you want to start from scratch? Or, do you want to work
with an established company that has a proven track record, sales team, marketing program, and leadership? Would you like to set your
own schedule? Would you like to attend meetings geared towards your targeted business, rallies to help you stay on task, and
conferences to introduce you to those who’ve succeeded past your wildest dreams? If so, and you love people, then direct sales could be
for you. Direct Sale Company’s are more commonly known as home party plans like Tupperware®, Partylite® and Pampered Chef®; to name a few.
Direct Sales Individual Income
You’ll not only be able to profit from the experience of your up line (the one who recruits you and her recruiter), but you’ll earn a
set commission (usually 20-50% of the product or service you sell). Therefore, if the company you sign on with gives you 25% in
commissions and you sell $350 in product, you’ll earn $87.50 for 2-3 hours of work.
Residual Income
While you can make a good living simply selling the products and/or services offered in network marketing programs, you’ll reap an added
monetary reward by recruiting others (known as your down line) into the business. With each new recruit you will earn a percentage of
that recruit’s sales (usually 1-10%). The larger your down line, the more income you will earn. In other words, the more sales your down
line makes and the more they recruit others into the business, the larger your commission check will be. This structure does not take
away from your down lines commission; it’s given to you, by the company, for training new recruits. Residual income is a way of earning
money even when you’re not actually working. It’s similar to multiple streams of income.
Sample Direct Sales Residual Commission
Because I don’t believe in hyping information, I am going to be very modest with my figures:
- If you have 100 people in your down line and each one sells an average of $300 per month, that’s $30,000. If you receive only 1% of
that income, you will walk away with $300 per month for doing nothing more than helping someone else become his/her own boss. This
income is in addition to the commissions you receive on your own personal sales.
- If those same 100 people sold an average of $1,000 per month; that’s $100,000. Your 1% commission would then become $1,000 for one
month; again it’s above and beyond your personal commissions.
Choosing The Right Direct Sales Marketing Program
When choosing a direct sales or home party plan businesses make sure you:
- have the time to work a business;
- have the money to advertise your business
- have the money to purchase both product and supplies;
- are comfortable with the commissions structure;
- can stand behind the company’s policies, procedures, regulations, and philosophy;
- understand what is expected of you;
- like and use the products and/or services;
- don’t mind striking up conversations with strangers, in passing, with the intent of handing out your business card;
- enjoy demonstrating your products to a group of people;
- click with your up line; and
- that your up line will be readily available to answer any of your questions and guide you to success.
