Are you ready to start working from home?
I wrote an e-book to help walk women through the process of starting a home business. In the past, it was only available via download.
But now, part of the e-book is being made available online―and you can read it right here!
Although this work-at-home book was written with a married couple in mind, it is for everyone. The information within these pages
can be used by anyone...Male or Female, Single or Retired, Married or Divorced.
- Introduction
First, I would like to say that while this book was written with the mother in mind, the same questions and steps could be
applied by anyone. It is my prayer that this book will open your eyes to all the possibilities this world has to offer. I would also
hope that it will inspire you to be the mom, dad, or individual you desire to be.
- Chapter 1: What Do You Aspire To Be?
When I was a child, I had dreams of doing great things with my life, but none inspired me as much as the desire to be a mother
and raise a family of my own. At first, raising my family was all I desired and needed, but as time went on, something inside of me
began yearning for more. I wanted to know if there was life out there beyond being a mother, a wife, and a home-keeper.
- Chapter2: The Choices
When it came to working, I always dreamed of having my own business. I wanted to play by my own rules and set my own hours. But
I had a dilemma, because I wanted to be a mom first and foremost. I wanted my number one responsibility to be that of “Mother.” Ever
since I could remember, I desired to be the mom who had an active role in her child’s life.
- Chapter Three: The Decision Making Process
When deciding if a home business is right for you, there are many factors to take into consideration. But none are more important
than what you, as a family, want to achieve. If you cannot agree, as a family, how successful you want this business to be, how much
time you want it to take up in your lives, and who plays what part, you can find yourselves in a war zone. And there is nothing
worse than living in a war zone.
- Chapter Four: Choosing What’s Right
Once you have a general understanding of what you want your business to do for you and your family, it’s time to start hunting
down the business venture that best fits your goals and needs. Keep in mind that you really want to research your idea before you
jump in head first. There are many scams out there, and you need to be very cautious.
- Chapter Five: The Balancing Act
I appreciate the fact that you have purchased this book, because it means that you are searching for something that will enable
you to balance your dreams and desires of being both a good parent and a successful businessperson. The reality is that you will
never have a perfect balance, as time restraints, urgencies, and life itself often leaves us tilting that scale.
- Chapter Six: The Business Plan
Once you have narrowed your business idea down to two or three, it is time to research those markets and find the one that is
the most viable for you.
- Chapter Seven: Marketing
As soon as you are ready to start your business, it is time to market it. And marketing takes time! The best way to manage a
marketing campaign is to do a little every day. No matter how busy you get, never stop marketing. Sometimes, when someone creates a
product or service, hyping the heck out of it can create a desire for the product.
- Chapter Eight: Organization
Our family motto is “When you are done using something, put it back where you found it.” Since we have children, it is not 100%
foolproof, but it does help a great deal to keep the stress level down, especially if you use this motto in your office.
- Bonus: Who Said Working From Home Was Easy?
