Beresford, South Dakota...Alyice Edrich, freelance writer, editor, and amateur web designer, has been awarded the APEX 2004 Award of Excellence in the Web Sites category for her work on The Dabbling Mum®, a free online publication for BUSY Parents (http://thedabblingmum.com).

APEX 2004 -- the 16th Annual Awards for Publication Excellence -- is an international competition that recognizes outstanding publications from newsletters and magazines to annual reports, brochures and web sites.

According to the APEX 2004 judges, "The awards were based on excellence in graphic design, quality of editorial content, and the success of the entry in conveying the message and achieving overall communications effectiveness."

“As a freelancer, one doesn’t always receive rave reviews or a pat on the back for a job well-done,” says Alyice Edrich. “I’ve worked long and hard on The Dabbling Mum® and I wanted to know if my peers were just being kind-hearted or if my site really was worthy of national recognition.” Well, Edrich doesn’t have to wonder any more.
