Beresford, South Dakota... Alyice Edrich, founder of The Dabbling Mum, received 3rd place in the American Christian Writers' 2005 Annual Editor Of The Year competition for her work as editor of The Dabbling Mum, a free online publication for BUSY Parents (http://thedabblingmum.com).
According to the American Christian Writers, the awards were selected based on the number of votes the editors received from their peers. In other words, "the editor receiving the highest number of nominations was declared Editor Of The Year."
"Editing both the e-zine and the magazine can sometimes be an overwhelming and daunting task," says Edrich. "I think Reg Forder, founder of American Christian Writers said it best, 'Many of them work long hours, are underpaid, and are constantly under a lot of pressure.' But truth-be-told, if I could make a difference in this world, through this publication, then it’s all worth it."
Edrich goes on to say, “As an editor of a small, online publication, I don’t always have the luxury of networking, in person, with other magazine editors or writers, so I always wonder if my colleagues, subscribers, and writers truly know how much I value and appreciate them.” Well, Edrich doesn’t have to wonder any more. Not only do her her peers know, but they've spoken.

It is sponsored by American Christian Writers, which was "founded by Reg and Eleonore Forder, in 1988, to provide a full array of services to writers and speakers through a variety of educational and inspirational avenues in a Spirit-filled environment."
