Peanut Butter And Jelly Smoothies

Ever since I've known my husband he has been a huge peanut butter and jelly fan. There are days he'll come home from work and say, "You know what I feel like having for dinner? A peanut butter and jelly sandwich on toasted wheat bread."

When frequenting a local diner, the first thing he asks for is a Peanut Butter Malt or a Peanut Butter Shake. So it was no surprise that, having run out of bread and vanilla ice cream, my husband opted to beat his craving by trying a new concoction: a berry smoothie with peanut butter!

This recipe was truly a fluke! I simply mixed together the ingredients I had on hand, thinking in terms of what could replace the ingredients we didn't have on hand. And while I am not fond of it, as I don't really care to drink my peanut butter—never have, my husband said, "Write this down, it's a keeper!"

Instructions

  1. Place milk in blender.
  2. Add yogurt and fruit.
  3. Top with honey and peanut butter.
  4. Blend until smooth.
  5. Add chocolate chips and blend until chips are broken into small pieces.
  6. Serve immediately.
