Tracy Klehn had a difficult time with prayer—not just finding the time to pray, but praying effectively and whole-heartedly. Then one
day, the Lord released her from her prayer block by allowing her to experience prayer in an entirely new way—a way filled with trust,
openness, peace, and even rest.
In the beginning, Tracy found her prayer time to be “uncomfortable and contrived”. And she often wondered if the time she spent in prayer
was worth it. But the more she “made” herself spend time in prayer, the closer she grew to God, and eventually the discomfort passed.
Tracy believes prayer has helped her “experience more power, more peace, and less fear.” Prayer also helped her “be more patient” in the
moments she spent with her loved ones, which in turn allowed her to truly appreciate her role as mother. Finally, the Lord renewed her
sense of prayer by allowing her to “feel the love of God in powerful ways.”
