Review
For as along as I can remember, I’ve wanted to know more about the Middle East and the wars that seemed centered around religious beliefs,
but found the reading material dry, boring, and often biased. So when I heard about By The Sword—a
novel, I knew I had to pick up a copy.
It was my hope that the authors would base their novel on facts so that I might gain a better understanding of the crisis in the Middle
East, and how it affects our culture today. And it did just that. In fact, many publishers and media officials believe the book’s plot
parallels with current events—making it a must read for anyone wanting a better understanding of the persecution and trials Christians
face in the Middle East.
By The Sword—a novel has it all: murder, mystery, mayhem, biblical truths, and even sub-stories that all intertwine around the
main plot.
Plot
Amber Robbins is the daughter of a big-time newspaper owner, but she’s determined to make her own mark on the world. As a Christian, she
believes the world needs a journalist who is not afraid to tell “the other side” of the story, so she gets stationed in Jerusalem.
Hardnosed for the truth, Amber Robbins sets out to find out who is really behind the “Passover Massacre”. Amber believes the world and
Jerusalem officials are blaming the wrong guys and she’s determined to set the record straight—even if it means her life in the process.
Everywhere she turns people are being persecuted for their beliefs in Jesus Christ. In fact, Islamic fundamentalists are giving death
sentences to anyone who refuses to renounce Christ and convert to Muslim.
When Amber meets up with an old friend, Mohammed, things really begin taking shape. Mohammed uncovers a plot by his country to wipe out
an entire race using a Russian nuclear sub…headed right for the United States!
Lesson Learned
By The Sword—a novel began as a far-fetched idea that Islam would plot a scheme to win back its people—through force if necessary—and
in the process destroy the “Evil” that is America. Little did the authors realize that God had given them insight into things to come
and at nearly 70% complete, the book’s plot would become truth.
By The Sword—a novel is filled with real-life issues; issues that we, Americans, often can’t comprehend. We’re blessed to live in
a country that allows us the freedom to choose what we believe. We can travel throughout the United States without so much as a passport
or check point. We can gather publicly to share our beliefs, and we can hold ceremonies and religious rituals in which hundreds, if not
thousands, can attend.
Whether you’re a Muslim wondering what awaits you should you choose the Christian path, or a person struggling with whether or not to
trust God, By The Sword—a novel is sure to show you the realistic truths of choosing a faith in which one’s country despises.
As you begin to work through your personal beliefs, I encourage you to listen to your heart. Don’t let fear of the unknown, the fear of
what might be, or confusion prevent you from seeking the path your heart calls you towards. Take the time to discover the truth and
allow that truth to guide you. God is a patient being and He’ll be waiting with open arms when you’re ready.
