Review
You are in for a real treat with The Pebbles And Bamm-bamm Show—that is, if you’ve ever enjoyed watching The Flintstones. Fred, Wilma, Barney, and Betty are given supporting roles in as parents of teenagers and make many guest appearances as they take an active role in parenting their kids. But the main stars are definitely Pebbles and Bamm-bamm, followed by their supporting cast—Wiggy, Penny, and Moonrock.

Pebbles looks like her mom but carries many of her dad’s qualities—like always finding a way to get herself into a heap of trouble. Bamm-bamm takes after Barney and is always there to pick up the pieces. But there’s one problem—Bamm-bamm’s superhuman strength seems to have disappeared with age.

The Pebbles And Bamm-bamm Show doesn’t offer up much in the way of lessons to be learned at first glance, but if you dig a little deeper you can find them. In fact, one reoccurring lesson would be to “Stop and Think Before You Act.”

Pebbles is a bright girl, but she finds herself in lots of trouble because she reacts to every situation as though it were a crisis waiting to be solved. An event takes place and Pebbles instantly thinks of an outrageous scheme to fix things, and then delves right in—without ever thinking of the consequences or realizing that sometimes things have a way of working themselves out if you just use a little self-control and develop a little patience.

Another lesson that can be learned is the value of friendship which they’ve obviously learned from their parents; showing teenagers everywhere that not everything parents do is “bad”. Not only have Pebbles and Bamm-bamm been able to nurture a childhood friendship, they’ve also discovered how to expand their circle of friendship to include three great kids with extremely different personalities.

Your Task
Your task is simple: gather up your kids and their friends for a sleepover, make some of your favorite snacks, and enjoy an evening of laughs, mayhem, and more laughs. Your kids may find the cartoons a bit old fashioned, but that’s okay. Let them crack their jokes, marvel at how much things have changes since you were a child, and just relish the moment because one day, they’ll be all grown up, too.
