Sitcoms are usually half hour comedic dramas focused around several main characters. In this section, you’ll find a short synopsis, a lesson learned, and a task for you.

Bewitched
A comedy that ran in half hour segments from 1964 to 1971. A young witch falls in love with a mortal. The couple gets married, and she vows to give up her magical powers, but soon discovers that it's harder than she thought.

Cory In The House
Cory’s dad, Victor, receives an invitation to become the personal chef of the President of the United States so they pack their bags and move into the White House, where Cory continues to get into mischief as he schemes his way to entrepreneurial success.

F Troop
A western comedy that ran in half hour segments from 1965 to 1967. Sergeant Morgan O’Rourke and Corporal Randolph Agarn have more get-rich-quick schemes under their belt than most spammers have email addresses.

Full House
A comedy/drama that ran in half hour segments from 1987 to 1995. A young father loses his wife to death (hit by a drunk driver). The father’s brother-in-law and friend move in to help raise his three girls and life will never be the same.

Fresh Prince Of Bel Air
A comedy that ran in half hour segments from 1990 to 1996. A teenage boy is sent to live with his aunt and uncle in Bel Air because his mother is worried that he might not survive Philadelphia.

George Lopez
George Lopez has had a trouble life, but has vowed to give his children something better. Working his way up from assembly-line worker to plant manager, George continues to prove to his children that dreams come true with a persistence and hard work.

Girlfriends
Four women, living in Los Angeles, form a unique bond that carries them through many of life’s ups and downs.

Happy Days
A drama/comedy that ran in hour segments from 1974 to 1984. Set in Milwaukee, Wisconsin between the late 50’s and early 60’s, a middle-class American family rents the apartment over their garage to a “greaser” and life will never be the same.

I Love Lucy
A comedy that ran in half hour segments from 1951 to 1957. A woman constantly finds herself in comedic predicaments as she frantically tries to get into showbiz.

Laverne & Shirley
A comedy that ran in half hour segments from 1976 to 1983. Two young women, complete opposites of each other, share an apartment as best friends.

Mama's Family
A comedy that ran in half hour segments from 1983 to 1985. Thelma Harper is a cranking, loud-mouthed, and rude mother of three adult children; one of which has moved in with Mrs. Harper and her rent-paying sister, Fran.

Suite Life of Zack and Cody
Identical twin brothers, complete opposites I might add, live with their single mother in a rather ritzy hotel. The boys have free reign of the hotel and often use their free time to stir up trouble.

The Bugaloos
A Brittish comedy that ran in half hour segments from 1970 to 1972. A young, teenage rock ‘n roll band must constantly battle their arch nemesis, Benita Bizarre.
