Copyright Notice

The content found within The Dabbling Mum magazine and network of blogs is copyrighted material by the originating authors, artists, and photographers.

No part of The Dabbling Mum may be produced or transmitted in any form or by any means, electronic or mechanical, including photocopying, recording, or by any information storage and retrieval system, without the express written consent (permission) of the owner, except for the inclusion of brief quotations in a review.

All written text, images, and designs are protected by U.S. Copyright Law. Title 17 U.S.C. Section 101 et seq., Title 18 U.S.C. Section 2319.

Copyright law is simple. If you didn't create it. You can't use it. And the only time you can use material you didn't create is if you get written permission from the owner of that material.

Copyright law protects the originating owner of many works: written words, art, photographs, images, song lyrics, musical notes, videos, audios, and more.

Copyright laws exist to protect creatives of all genres. The moment someone takes his or her intellectual thoughts and puts them down in concrete form (i.e. paper, website, disk, computer ram, etc.), those works become copyrighted and protected under copyright law. Many creatives further protect themselves by having their works registered with the United States copyright office.

Copyright infringement is a very serious issue and punishable by law.

It can be punishable by a fine of up to $150,000 per act, plus attorney and court fees—for the plaintiff. In fact, new laws are going into place to make it a FELONY.

Please respect the rights of the publisher, editor, freelance writers, artists, crafters, photographers, and other creatives enough to NOT steal their work, reprint it without permission, or pass it off as your own.

If you'd like to use a quote from one of the articles, on The Dabbling Mum, contact the author of the piece for permission. If you'd like to use an image or craft tutorial, again seek permission.

Creative Liability

While The Dabbling Mum does its best to make sure our freelancers and/or creatives have not violated any copyright claim. We are not responsible for copyright claims.

If you feel a freelancer has infringed upon your copyrights, please contact the originating freelancer of the piece.

Once your legal issues have been settled, we'll be happy to comply with governing laws and remove the offending material.

EVERY freelancer accepted for publication must accept full responsibility for his/her creative works, including but not limited to defending claims of infringement by any third parties.

The Dabbling Mum, its owners, and its staff do NOT take responsibility and will not be held liable for any copyright disputes or actions that may result from copyright infringement issues.
